People are constantly cringing about their differences and trying to cover them up. Some individuals are placed in difficult situations that can seem impossible to find a light in. Different than most thinking, Tim Burton conveys a message saying that happiness can be found anywhere. Whether you have scissors for hands, or no family to laugh with, Tim Burton conveys that happiness can be found through any situation, no matter how difficult it may seem. Throughout Tim Burton’s films, he uses characters that are seen as outcasts to portray the idea that happiness can be found through the most difficult situations. In the movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” Willy Wonka is locked away in his chocolate factory, and he is secluded from the rest of society. Nobody ever enters or exits the factory except for the people that ship the chocolates off to the different stores. Willy is isolated from everyone else, and he never leaves his factory until one day, when five lucky children are invited on a tour of Willy’s factory. When Willy gives a tour of his factory, he babbles on about all of the magnificent creations he has made in his factory. Tim Burton uses a close up on Wonka’s face to show the gleefulness that is spread across his face. Nobody could have ever dreamt or even imagined about such a magnificent place filled with beautiful scenery and luscious edible grass.
