Do the design similarities of the Olmec Maya Aztec and Inca civilisations strengthen the theory that all of this civilisations belong to the same mother civilisation that we have yet to discover.
The Olmec, Mayan, Incan and Aztec civilisations are some of the greatest ancient civilisations known to our history so far and yet we know so little about them compared to other ancient civilisations around the world. The Olmec civilisation is often completely forgotten and the last three are frequently lumped together or confused even though they all were very distinct. Not so long ago the first Olmec artifacts were thought to be Mayan, …show more content…
This region is today composed of Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, southern Mexico, northern El Salvador and Guatemala. This civilisation excelled in astronomy, art, mathematics and architecture. Many large stone structures filled the Mayan cities and they are best known today for their many pyramids that still stay tall hundreds of feet above the jungle. The design of their constructions is similar in some way to all of the constructions of the other civilisations involved in this analysis.
The temple design was developed to reflect the land when the gods first created the world. The stepped pyramids represent mountains with the caves being the entry into the temples on top of the pyramids. Here we can observe a strong similarity to the Olmecs witch built temples on top of fake moutains made out of rock piles. The Mayans added sculptures and color to these …show more content…
Other unknown civilisations could have used similar design but for now we will have to understand only what we know so far. Maybe the root to these similarities could be another civilisation that we have yet to discover, and all the questions we have now will be answered in the future. History is not exact, history has been controlled and rewritten in the interests of so many throughout time, but we are fortunate to still have design impregnated in stone and some other forms and that does not lie. Design is telling us more than enough, we just have to try methods similar to reverse engineering and just pay closer attention and at some point in the near future hopefully, we can better understand how these and other civilisations relate to one and other. Design is universal but it keeps the footprint of our spirit deep imbedded in its
