Believe it or not, we all started as a piece of carbon floating through the air. When we are born we tend to get categorized, black or white, catholic or jewish, rich or poor. We don’t choose to be there but instead our ancestors have chosen that path. Anne Frank and Bruno were both born into these categories whether they wanted to be in them or not. As you are growing up you believe what you are told because you haven’t experienced the consequences of doing so. Anne grew up a jewish girl and Bruno a catholic boy, the only thing separating them from each other was the religion they were born to believe.
