Hong Kong and Guangzhou are world-famous international metropolis. There are many similarities and differences in their growth in history. And education is the future of the next generation. Both cities have special emphasis on education. The similarities and differences of Hong Kong and Guangzhou in education are listed as followed.
Firstly, similarities. As two of the world's most famous cities with a long history, they have many similarities in education.
First of all is preschool education. Pre-school education in Hong Kong can be divided into kindergarten and nursey school. They have different service objects: kindergartens are serving children who are not suitable for entering kindergartens, providing childcare services for parents. Kindergartens are serving children between 3 and 6 years old, allowing them to study groups in the school environment and receive the most basic education. The nursey school is administered by the educational administration, while the kindergarten is administered by the social welfare department. But now many kindergartens have the same business as nursey school, so that children under 6 can receive education in kindergarten. In this point, Guangzhou is very similar to Hong Kong.
