The concept of balance is understood the greatest in the section about achievement. In order to reach achievement, you must overcome all hardships, and then reward will be reached. Shel Silverstein explains this concept more throughly in “Melinda Mae,” by portraying a tiny girl who made a promise to herself to eat and finish a whole whale. Do you believe in karma? Well, karma is this idea that if you complete a good deed, good luck will come to you, and visa versa with a bad act. Us humans like the idea of helping others, but do we really perform the actions needed to assist other individuals? For Huckleberry Finn this answer is yes. Mark Twain depicts this young boy struggling between the boundaries of society and helping his slave friend in his book titled The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Huck comes to the conclusion that Jim(the slave) needed his help more than anything, and thus exclaimed, “All right, then, I’ll go to hell.” Mark Twain uses Huck as an amazing example to show how having morels is a very essential human trait , and thus leads to a more self fulfilling and rewarding
