There was one particular instance of elder abuse that unfortunately involved an elder resident by the name of Elmore Kittower who had unfortunately passed away at Silverado Senior Home during 2007 supposedly due to age related health concerns. The grieving wife Rita Kittower had received an anonymous phone call which reiterated that there was more evidence to support the notion that her recently deceased husband had not actually died due to natural causes. The anonymous person articulated that Rita's husband had been assailed to death allegedly by Ceasar Ulloa, who was a remedial employee at the same senior living facility that Elmore Kittower had resided at during the last year of his life. Additionally she was in disbelief at the startling prospect that her husband had unexpectedly passed away. She waited a few days to become recomposed and then gave the Los Angeles deputy sheriff permission to:” exhumed her deceased husband's body so that they could analyze it for any signs of visible trauma which was found, with signs of multiple broken bones at various stages of healing. An autopsy showed blunt force trauma as a contributing factor in his death”(Faturechi, 2010).
