She has been getting restless because you were late” he said. Chino smiled back and started galloping down the path leading to the dark forest, “I am going to beat you this time” Vamsi laughed and galloped victory parallel to her, she signaled thunder to follow suit, both of them came to a abrupt halt in front of the dark forest, which looked foreboding as ever, even nala looked restless, she turned to vamsi who said “ if we gallop at this pace along the borderlines of the forest without actually entering it, we could reach the river Gammon by midday tomorrow ,Chino nodded her head as she galloped across the huge wasteland surrounding the dark forest , there were carcasses of men and beasts strewn across like wild flowers among the dark trees of the forest, the villagers tell stories of werewolves and trolls that inhibit the god forsaken place, in fact the dead were considered lucky , as the survivors turned into those cursed half human half beasts, Chino and Vamsi always dared each other to enter the forest and did so too but they never came across those beasts, Chino turned her gaze to nala who looked pretty content running between her and vamsi, easily covering the space between them in huge strides, she smiled at the huge cat, she still could remember the day her brother Hensel brought the wounded cub home, it was with her ever since, she grew up with her and vamsi , training along with them. With these thoughts she whistled to Vamsi who winked at her and galloped even faster, she laughed out loud and thought of the day she saw him for the first time, they both were toddlers and went to the local school to learn basics of language, a small and frail looking boy who went on to become a soldier and won many a battles for the king’s conquests,

I was over ecstatic when Fernando, (also known as Fernie) my best guy friend asked me to go on a walking adventure with him in our hometown of Kelseyville, California. We started off the day by walking in the forest alongside of Kelsey Creek. This forest has a really big meaning to Fernie and I, because we both love nature in every aspect and these walking adventures are not uncommon to us. Starting on the path we both got lost in our own thoughts, I got distracted by looking above me at the the canopy the tree branches created. My eyes followed the patterns the sunlight was creating as it broke through the leaves and cascaded onto the uneven forest floor.…
