When we moved I never thought it would drastically change my life as much as it did until I was introduced to the sport of twirling. Over the years of my twirling career, I have met and made friends with over hundreds of twirlers world wide. Traveling from competition to competition has given me the opportunity to fearlessly interact with strangers in any situation, whether it be complimenting how amazing their costume looks or simply asking who is next to perform on the floor, these experiences are ones that no therapy session could have ever done for me. Although meeting new people has its benefits here and there, it can compare to bond I share with my Starlite sisters, being the oldest out of the forty of us it was regularly my job to warm them up before competitions, help with hair, makeup, costume changes and cheering them on when no one else would. There can be times where my role as a leader gets stressful to the point where not only am I juggling my own obstacles but I am trying to mentor them into getting through their
