What do you feel you can contribute to a collaborative environment? o I have taken part in many collaborative projects, but the one most notable has been the production of a short film for the 48-hour film project entitled Plan B. On this project I was a grip on a team of 6 and we were all lead by a Key Grip who had absolutely no idea what he was doing. Tim Burton’s dark and creepy style is one of my favorites; the surreal practical effects of the ghost world make for a dreamlike movie.
• The Silence of the Lambs taught me that not every film needs a moral and that not every person needs motivation. The logical FBI agent Clarice beautifully counteracts the pure insanity of the main character, Hannibal Lector. The character relationship is brought forth under odd circumstances, Lector is asked to aid Clarice in catching a fellow serial killer. The series of conversations that follow are some of the greatest scenes in cinema history.
• Me, Earl and the Dying Girl taught me that relationships formed under stressful circumstances are not always doomed to fail. The friendship formed between Greg and Rachel was forced initially, but blossomed through Rachel’s hard times. Another reason this film spoke to me is because I relate to the character Greg as the person who flies under the radar in high school and makes films on the side. This relation helped me put myself in Greg’s position in the devastating and joyful parts of the
