Moaning deeply and loudly, Will stirred in his makeshift bed. Rising from the flattened pile of straw and leaves, the tall, pale skinned man lifted his arms above his head, and stretched his body out. As Will's vision adjusted, and the camp came into focus, he finally remembered what was coming. [I]Immunity. [/i] "Well shit" he mumbled, having almost forgotten. On the bright side, it might have something to do with eating. While the hosts had been fairly vague, they had mentioned eating, and the tribe had concluded that they would be required to eat for immunity. This of course would be a bonus for Will. A European food critic, eating was a talent of his. Of course, the challenge would be slightly below a three Michelin star level, but that was to be expected.
The hours passed by relatively uneventfully, gathering items from the forest, and planning with the tribe, but as the challenge grew near, the tensions rose. When the sundial showed only one hour from the challenge, the tribe headed out, making their way along the path even deeper into the forest. The spindly legs of the hideous creatures were tangled together on the plate in a heaping mess of horror. [I]I can't stop.[/i] Bite after bite, Will could barely keep them down. Due to their shape, the spiders couldn't even be swallowed whole, unless of course Will wanted to choke. Even in small bites, Will could taste the innards of the spiders slide down his throat, and the hairs of their legs tickling his cheeks. As victory neared, tragedy struck. He knew it was wrong as soon as he swallowed. A leg had become stuck. Coughing harshly, and hands around his throat, it felt as if he would never make it home. A finally resort, Will shoved his fingers into the back of his throat, and attempted to claw the leg from his throat. Will could taste his own blood now, but luckily the leg was pushed down.
