Racism is when a group of a certain race will exclude, and or harm other races because of the differences in each group. Racism started before the middle ages where Jews were identified with the devil and witchcraft causing and future generations to be discriminated and excluded by other races. Another early sign to racism is the Renaissance and Reformation period when an assortment of people from Africa and Asia that had more contrasting characteristics from the Europeans started to interact with the Europeans. This action launched the Europeans to make false statements about the other ethnic groups.
