Signal TRADOC instructors are given the task of teaching multiple blocks of instruction per day in a large class of students. The instructors often do not get the opportunity to teach in-depth classes on the subjects due to time constraints and the lack of subject matter experts. The TRADOC type of education forces instructors to move through blocks of instruction in a fast paced way without regard of student’s prior experience or comprehension of the subjects. With this type of education structure, instructors are required to be knowledgeable on multiple subjects, often knowing only the basics. The in-depth instruction needed to teach Soldiers how to properly operate and maintain the current set of the Army signal equipment is not possible in the current signal TRADOC education system. Most instruction Soldiers are given only gives them a base understanding of the capabilities of signal equipment and when Soldiers arrive at their units they are often not able to conduct basic operator tasks on the equipment. The Signal Corps TRADOC form of education is an obsolete type of education that most organizations outside the military have discontinued many years
