This setting was captured almost perfectly by the cast. The lighting for the first act was spot on to show off the people in the exhibit. The lighting was very dim which left a very gloomy and mysterious look to the first act which helped the audience follow the plot and recognize that there was a negative vibe toward the side show and lead the audience to believe that the ringmaster was the antagonist. As act one ended and act two begin the atmosphere of the musical started to change, the play began to have a more upbeat tone to it. This became noticeable by the lighting which became brighter and the background music which was originally mono-tone became more enthusiastic. Throughout act two and three the musical came to life. The supporting actors had a nearly perfect performance throughout the final two acts. The props and background for each scene was spot on and if you payed close attention throughout the entire play it was almost if you were witnessing the acts happening in real life. There were minor mistakes and the only real problem other than the fact that the leading actor Terry was still underacting was my seating. From where I was sitting the actors’ and actresses’ voices could not carry to the back of the theatre from center stage. The entire performance no matter if the was in the middle of a scene or a song the voices in the performance could not carry past the first couple
