While one uses drugs, it is known to assume they will have a positive experience. That the drug will make them feel better, not worse. Also people who have had a great past experience think every future intake will be the same. Truth is, drug use is extremely unpredictable. At any moment someone uses drugs, there is a risk of experiencing the negative side effects for instance, aggression. “If a person becomes more violent from using a drug, she is putting herself and those around her in great danger (Can).” Mayo clinic explains that some substances such as alcohol, barbiturates, and benzodiazepines decrease one’s anxiety, which makes them more likely to participate in dangerous activities. Often individuals using heroin or cocaine may be more likely to commit violent crimes, in order to show their rank within a drug society. Dealers want tough men and women who are willing to do anything for their drugs. Already stated; does not mean that every type of drug is going to lead to crime or violence.
