he discovered his true meaning in life after all of his discoveries. he found himself as a ferryman. helping people everyday from one side of the river and back which he had already swam and almost drowned in ironically the thing that almost ended his life he found himself thriving off of, sleeping next to, and working on. also the same place where he learned many things of all even though they are not clearly stated the recent ferryman before him was his friend, teacher, and starting point for his true meaning in his life journey. many years later siddhartha met someone he had never met before but recently known many years ago, govinda. where they began to talk about their lives and where they have gone and traveled too since they chose different paths. it was clear to siddhartha that govinda wasn't the same friend who chose his life path that day, govinda had changed. he knew this right away when govinda said “ Nirvana is not only a word my friend; it is a thought”. this showed siddhartha that there is not a single path to enlightenment that one must follow, but a new path that one must discover own their own to reach it. similar to cutting a path through the jungle to the river. everyone strives to reach the same place but each person must make their own path to reach
