The purpose of my letter is to request for your support and funding that will bring great positive changes for your organization. Since the beginning of the year, staffing has been a major concern. 85 to 90 percent of the regular staff left, causing a big issue for the organization. Sick calls are still a big problem. The biggest problem is that the agencies’ nurses and CNA’s are qualified for the job, but they did not receive any training from your organization, making their task very difficult and patients’ care is in jeopardy. Staff involvement and dedication of the units, supervisors, and administration personnel is very important for a great outcome. A survey was conducted, with 90% of the staff in favor of the project.
2. Several meetings will be conducted and attendance of all personnel is mandatory. Discussion that will take place in these meetings will be about changes that are taking place or need to be made, and encourage staff to offer input. A representative from the agency should also be at the meeting in order to educate and in-service their staff about the organization’s policies and procedures.
3. The organization needs to provide a detailed assignment to the agency’s nurses and CNA’s for their shifts and a schedule for calling in and out for both the staff and the agency.
4. It is very important to have access to the agencies in case of any changes so we can notify them. Surveys will be available for anyone who wants to voice their concerns. They do not have to provide their names.
5. Supervisors will frequently check on the agencies nurses and CNA’s work performances. Follow ups will be done with the agencies using the call-in schedules. Staff will be monitored for sick
