__(2) A. Attention-getter: I want to start off with a quote by Wes Adamson. He stated, “Sisters and brothers just happen, we don’t get to choose them, but during our lifetime they become one of our most cherished relationships.
__(2) B. Audience motivation/reason to listen: This is why I researched a topic on the importance of sibling communication satisfaction so we can all know the meaning behind it and how we can improve our relationships with our brothers and sister if we have any at home.
__(2) C. Personal credibility: I personally don’t have the best relationship with my sister for a variety of reasons so researching this topic really showed me some of the things that might be wrong and how i can improve upon them.

Thesis statement: Sibling Communication Satisfaction can be hard at times because it requires communication events that fulfill the other persons expectations, but when learning about interpersonal solidarity, individualized trust, and self-disclosure it will become much more clear how to satisfy the other person.

With this article I was able to better understand my relationship with my older sister because I didn’t quite get why sometimes we didn’t get along. My sister and me don’t have interpersonal solidarity because we don’t share common characteristics and because we rarely show affection towards one another. I also learned that we don’t have individualized trust because it is the process of holding favorable impressions on the other person even when the outcome of the situation is uncertain. Which is why we don’t have it because of past events that have happened that killed the trust between us. I even found out we don’t have self-disclosure because according to (Cozby, 1973) because we don’t talk about any information like about past events, current feelings and attitudes, and future
