Whoever said diamonds were a girl’s best friend never owned a dog! The Siberian Husky is an extraordinary dog breed. In order for this breed of dog to exist there must have been reproduction among other animals to create this breed. The Siberian Husky is said to have been originated from Chukchi, which is a tribe of Siberian nomads (Siberian Husky, 2013). The Chukchi tribe created huskies for their own existence. Chukchi lived in hostile climates in the word were temperatures reached as low as negative 100 degrees Fahrenheit (Siberian Husky, 2013). They used huskies for transportation, hunting and companions (Siberian Husky, 2013). Huskies make conversations possible. My husky is a daily conversation with my family and friends. With conversations huskies also help with creating new relationships. Dog owners frequently stop and talk to each other such as druing walks, hikes, parks,on walks, hikes, or in a dog park. Huskies owners take their dogs to pet stores and groomers and meet people who own huskies also. Routines are made because of huskies. On a daily I have to feed my dog twice a day, groom her once a month, and bathe her. Although, having a routine is usually good this can also be bad because it is time consuming. The Siberian Club of America was made possible by huskies. This club was founded in 1993 and is mission is to inform other about Siberian huskies (Husky Education and Information, 2006). The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is possible because of Huskies. This race is 1,150 miles long and only huskies and malamutes are allowed to race in the Iditarod due to the temperature and energy required by the dogs (Husky Education and Information, 2006). Blue Wilderness and EVO dog foods were inspired because of huskies. The Blue Wilderness food was created with the Siberian husky in mind. This company wanted to create a dog food that was intended for large breeds with ample amount of energies, like huskie dogs (The BLUE Story). This company became extremely popular and know has food for all types of dogs. The EVO dog food contains and nutrient levels that resemble ancestral diets for dog (EVO - Exclusive Pet Supply, 2016). Huskies are one of the most ancient dogs known to exist, so this dog food also had huskies in mind. The first EVO dog food brand design had a husky dog (EVO - Exclusive Pet Supply, 2016). Shedding blade commercials were made possible because of huskies. There are many videos online and on television that use huskies to demonstrate the proper use of a shedding blade to groom your dogs. These are a few objects that were created as a result of huskies. Siberian huskies are indeed a cultural artifact in this world. These dogs make assumptions about the way the world is and should be. Huskies make different objects and activities possible. Even though huskies make some aspects of the world possible it also makes other aspects of the world difficult. I am very grateful to be a husky owner and I know have a deeper understanding of how my husky makes a difference in this
