Known for her unbelievable work and dedication, an Australian singer-songwriter, who has started her career as a singer in the local Adelaide acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-1990s. This talented extraordinary women has worked with and written songs for celebrities such as: Beyoncé, Rhianna, Ne-Yo, Katy Perry, Celine Dion, Brittney Spears, and Birdy. She is well known for her hit single “chandelier” and the heart touching music she’s written for other celebrity’s. Although she’s a very experienced inspiring women, there’s something that makes her different. She doesn’t like showing her face when performing, this unusual woman is named Sia.
Sia was born Sia Kate Isobelle Furler on December 18, 1975, in Adelaide, Australia. Her father was a musician, and her mother involved in arts. Uncomfortable in the spotlight, the singer relied on alcohol to get her through live shows while on tour. Later she became addicted to antidepressants and pain medication such as: Xanax and OxyContin, after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Sadly, her battle with alcoholism and depression intensified after her boyfriend was hit by a taxi driver and killed just days before she was due to visit him in London. Two months before her September suicide attempt, Sia phoned her drug dealer and 'ordered "two of everything", except meth and heroin. Planning to check into a cheap hotel, she left instructions for her dog walker and the hotel manager, writing: “I’ve killed myself and I don’t want you to have to suffer seeing my dead body”. But a timely call from a friend prompted her to re-evaluate, and she decided to enroll in a 12-step recovery program and take a break from her solo
