We all love screaming. So why don’t we do it more? I’ll tell you why! It’s because it is not socially acceptable, and that is really quite horrible, because there are so many positives to screaming. I’m sure that I am not the only one who thinks that it’s not fair that when a child screams, it’s completely normal, or at least not completely unheard of. Yet, if basically anyone older than 6 or 7 were to scream in public, they would be judged, or stared at by complete strangers, and that needs to change. So today, I will hopefully help you all to realise that screaming should be socially acceptable.
First of all, screaming is actually therapeutic, it helps to get your emotions out. You could be happy, sad, frightened or mad. Whatever your emotion, screaming can help you express your feelings. In fact, there is a form of psychotherapy called Primal Therapy, which is where patients are encouraged scream and it lets all their suppressed emotions out and improves mental health. Apparently when this was first discovered, there was a 100% success rate. And if we could scream randomly and whenever we wanted, everyone’s mental health would improve! …show more content…
