The Shriner’s hospital has incorporated a team based approach to health care called RESTORE. Restore stands for Renew, Energize, and Stimulate to Optimize the Rehabilitation Experience. The training experience involves many occupations in the health care doing a week by week operations and assessment of the patient. The diagnosis of the patient determines what parts of the interdisciplinary team need to be involved. The team evaluates and trains the patients on a weekly basis. The initial week consists of physical exams and x-rays. This is to verify the physical capabilities and the extent of the patient’s health problems.
