The rain didn't stop bikers from revving up their engines in order to help the community.
The 10th annual Linnwood Tavern Showdown Ride was held Saturday in Lafayette. This year, the ride is benefiting Lafayette Transitional Housing. All bikers were welcome and people could also follow along in cars. The ride was stretched about 51 miles. Organizer Greg Glotzbach said events like this will hopefully help people get back on their feet.
"It would help all who are homeless and might just need a meal or a place to stay while they are trying to get back on their feet," said Glotzbach.
