Should women have the right to have an abortion? According to Webster Dictionary, “abortion is a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus” ( ). When it comes down to the discussion of women and abortion, the topics pro-life or pro-choice come into play. Pro-life is when people do not believe the fetus should be aborted. They protect the right that the fetus is a human whose life should be valued and protected. Pro-choice is the belief that a woman has the right to choose what happens to her body. Although all people have a right to choose, when it comes to abortion it is too the right to choose should not exist. A woman should not have the right to abort her child because it can cause medical complications, the abortion can have a mental impact on the mother, and she has other options like putting the child up for adoption.
