Should Women Be Allowed To Play On Male Sports Essay

Should women be allowed to play on male sports teams? I think that women shouldn't be allowed to because of safety requirements, and sexaul harassment which would both be a big issue. First of all, male sports are aggressive and safety would be hard to avoid. They would have a high risk of injury, concussion rates in the last year have rose over 20%.There are many different kinds of injuries you can suffer while playing a male sport like you can overheat and pass out, you can tear your ACL or MCL or you could even overuse your body and strain it. Injuries are very hard to avoid and a male's body is built to take a lot more than a girls so our injury rates would increase if the females joined our team because the males are 30% stronger than females which means we have more muscle to protect us from injury. Sport funding for equipment would increase because, more bodies need for more equipment for the team and we would also have to change certain rules and regulations that way the girls don't feel harassed and there are no lawsuits brought up.There would have to be …show more content…
I think this is wrong because you never see a female trainer in male sports and to back this up men even train women. This fact supports me by saying most trainers in the major sports are men.All of the NFL's trainers are men.
The opposing views believe they should be allowed to play football and that they should all be allowed to have equal rights regardless if they are a woman or a guy they feel like there training ability is much stronger than a male and I believe that women should not be allowed to play in male sports because there can lead to many safety concerns and it can cause sexual harassment which can cause lawsuits and so on. So these are the different views on females playing in males sports buy into football there are many injuries and a guy hurting a girl could open a big lawsuit , do we want

How fair can it get for girls to play on boys sport teams. Maybe because it’s not a law, everyone can play, so many other girls are playing on the same team as boys. It was never a law that girls have to play the “girl sports,” boys play the “boy sports.” In the article Should Girls be Allowed to Play on Boy’s Sport Teams? They stated that if the best of the best WNBA team goes against the worst NBA team, that the NBA team would crush the best WNBA team.…

Throughout the past 100 years, gender roles of men and women have started to change greatly in our society, and especially in the world of sports. Recently, female athletes have made great strides in gaining equal representation, and media coverage, in comparison to the past, where there was little coverage of female athletics. In addition, women have begun to participate in many sports that have previously been male dominated. Some of these sports such as MMA, and hockey have been perceived as “manly” sports, and many feel that women should not participate in them due to their physically demanding nature. However, even though many female athletes have been discouraged from participating in male dominated sports, women have continued to break…

There is absolutely no way that women would just sit back and watch the men play all kinds of different sports as they would only be able to sit on the sidelines and cheer the men on. Women are resilient and because of that I know that if Title IX hadn’t been written into the Education amendment in 1972, then it would have been written later on. Title IX had turned the life of a female athlete completely around, but even if it didn’t exist, the female population would still be as powerful, if not more, than they already are. There are many things that are wrong with Title IX and the amendment has proven to not be enough for women to achieve equality in a world where men are considered to be drastically better and have a higher value in life. Title IX may have given women more equality when it comes to colleges and universities, but it has, by no means, been the main reason why women have been interested in sports or…

In sport today I believe women are treated in an unfair way to their male counterparts. Sport is controlled by the media in this century and women are looked at as sexual objects rather than for their talent like men are. The women are also then expected to wear skimpy clothing not because it’s better for the sport but because of marketing. Professional female athletes are seen as inferior to their male counterparts and therefore don’t get as much media coverage. Women athletes play the exact same games, train equally as hard, yet are still getting paid a large amount less than men.…

I think that they should be able to play on boys’ teams because they started letting girls play guy sports. I just think that its not far for the girls because for basketball all of people notice is the guys and same goes for other sports. Here is why I think this should happen because girls don’t get noticed for their hard work and I think that if they were going to work hard they should be notice and the boys sports team is were you can get it. I think that girls should also be on the boys team because I think that girls could do the same thing that boys can and if they are good at playing a sport then they should be able to play that sport with whoever they want and if that person is a guy then that’s how it should…

“It’s because there is no case law yet, there are no clear answers. Legal precedent would be dictated by any future Title IX complaints due to new benefits for male players. Practical answers have already been voiced by some conference commissioners, university presidents and athletic directors, who say paying players could result in women 's sports and non-revenue men 's sports being cut”said Jon Solomon, an NCAA critic (Solomon). Women follow in men’s footsteps in a lot of things.…

I believe that men and women should not play sports together. Every person has had a time in their life when they had an argument about which gender is better. On a playground in grade school every child has been in an argument saying “boys and girls drool” or vice versa. In this day and age those same kids have grown up and women have gain equal rights with men which they deserve. There’s an argument saying that men and women should be playing sports together as well.…

Females should undoubtedly be allowed to play on male sports’ teams. In this world of inequality there are few things we can do to alleviate that. For example, allowing females to play on male sports’ teams would be a great step. This has already been happening around the world, but it’s been causing controversy due to their, the girls, physicality and how fair it is then for the boys in return. If we don’t allow women to play then we can never truly be an equal and free nation.…

Women are often paid much less than men because they do not generate enough attention for the public. If television stations aired more women’s sports, they would generate enough to fans to raise more money and receive high paychecks. Men sports teams are considered to be more popular and more exciting than women’s sports. If women’s sports were aired on the radio and television shows as often as men’s, they would have a chance to make more money.
