I well understand that people can find other ways to kill ( bombs , knives , etc. ) .However it removing weapons diminish violence in the US exponentially. I completely agree that the weapons can not shoot people for themselves. A person other than a gun can shoot people .A person other than a gun can shoot people . But take the weapon , you can at least avoid lot of deaths. The mission of government is to adopt the law on the prohibition so that in this way the country can be safe, in different ways, but note that the most important is our security and our life is safe from any type of weapons.Indeed if the weapons were limited , the number of armed robberies decrease as homicides caused them. If we look beyond our personal safety , we can see a slightly quieter nation for all our families .What is particularly serious in the case of weapons is not only the number of deaths it causes, but what kind of death occurs and those killer.Impossible to distinguish between civilians and military . This is especially serious in war situations where the battlefield is not completely defined. Firearms mainly affect civil society and to those people who should not be attacked in war.In conclusion , firearms create an unsafe environment and should be banned , no need firearms for our personal defense can simply call 911 and this avoid so many murders of innocent people who are affected by the loss of human knowledge . Gun laws are one of the things that won’t get everyone satisfied. Everyone has a different opinion due to either political views or past experience. Some may prefer the idea of gun control or banning guns is the only to stop deaths. According to the National Survey of Law Enforcement, “many proposed gun control measures – including bans on assault weapon – will be ineffective at reducing violent crime and that legal gun ownership by private citizens would prove a better safeguard.” Although having a strict gun control may have it’s benefits when reducing death, we must use gun control moderately to decrease the amount of illegal activity surrounding guns.…

By limiting the rights of the legal citizens, the U.S. government does very little in preventing violent crime; perhaps only by stopping the illegal obtainment of weapons can they reduce violent crimes. Guns themselves do not kill people. It’s when weapons are placed in the hands of those who should not have them, those who will kill, that they kill someone…

We need a way to protect our self from our government. About everyone is armed, yet the crime and violence rate is extremely low! If we start controlling the guns for civilians, they won 't be able to protect themselves, and who say criminals will obey that law? Even if there is minimal control, it will make it so much harder for civilians to defend themselves! If your children are being attacked and you have nothing to help, no guns to defend them, you will have let them…

In 2014, about 42,000 Americans killed themselves and at least half of them did so with guns. This reveals how dangerous it is to just sell guns to people without at least checking their background, maybe even their financial problems to find any clue that might lead that person to use the gun for undesirable purposes. Having a more organized gun sale and control would reduce these unfortunate rates. Finally, lessening gun availability for Americans would make crime and violence less prone in the streets of the United States. Research shows that the mere presence of weapons increases aggression, in other words, having a plain and uncomplicated way to get a hold of a weapon stimulates violence.…

We use guns for self defense and all the indicators point towards having guns help us rather than harm us, but we make conclusions like that before we can rule out that guns make us violent. If we are faced with similar circumstances in our future where we are faced with a situation. We are in conflict with an armed individual how do we increase our chance to get killed. If anything we increase or chances of survival because like I said we once again feel that sense of safety when there are guns or local authority figures are around. We have to look at it in this perspective and this maybe my conservative ideals coming out, but if we outlaw the use of guns the majority of Americans will follow the law.…

A second way to demonstrate the danger of simply access to firearms is to examine the correlation between number of guns owned and gun deaths. An article by Max Fisher and Josh Keller states that "the United States has 270 million guns and had 90 mass shooters from 1966 to 2012" and that "no other country has more than 46 million guns or 18 mass shooters". These statistics show a direct correlation between the number of guns people have access to and the amount of mass shootings and gun deaths in general. If legislation is made to simply limit access to military grade weapons or any gun in general, the evidence is clear that there would be a decrease in gun deaths. By comparing the U.S. to other countries so similar, a clear idea can be formulated about what the solution to such a high number of gun deaths and mass shootings that has currently become a crisis in…

Banning assault weapons implies that criminals would be using illegal means to acquire the same weapons. Security agencies lack the capacity to fully secure the country from illegal firearms. In other words, criminals would still access assault weapons despite banning the same. Possession of assault weapons by criminals in an environment characterized by unarmed civilians put the security of civilians at stake. Citizens are only able to protect themselves when they have access to reliable weapons capable of countering attacks by criminals.…

The gun control debate has presented itself to be a sensitive topic, especially with the high frequency of mass shootings in recent years. However, enacting gun control would help with many more problems associated with gun violence than one initially thinks. The United States needs more restrictions on the sale of guns because of the high rate of gun-related homicides, the expensive cost associated with gun violence, and the large issue of insensitivity to gun deaths. One of the biggest reasons behind banning guns is the high rate of gun related homicides in the United States.…

A solution to this is making sure people are trained and that people are armed as well so that the people there will not be victims or another statistic (Downes). Although some people may have thought it would be difficult to get a gun with the lower federal courts ignoring parts of the Second Amendment and pushing for gun control (Verbuggen). “But local, state, and federal governments may no longer ban handguns” (Verbuggen, Pistol Whipping). Since people can buy handguns, a common self defence firearm, they should be properly trained so that they can protect themselves and their loved ones. To help people become more knowledged in gun safety, some firearm products should come with a color-coded manual for easy reading (Gregg).…

Unfortunately, with all of the mass shootings and killings being reported by the media, guns are given a bad reputation. Sadly, many people believe that they should be illegal because they are dangerous and can kill people, but what these people don’t realize is making them illegal will do a lot more harm than good.
