Influenza Persuasive Speech

The Great Pandemic or better known as Influenza originated in 1918 in the united states more specifically Kansas. Influenza is a viral infection in the respiratory system (nose, throat, bronchial tubes and lungs) that is highly contagious. Tens of millions of people across the world died from influenza in America 500,000 americans lost their life due to influenza. Why do people remember the fatalities of the titanic but not influenza? I believe that people remember the titanic because their is the famous movie titanic that many people have watched. I feel like people don 't know much about influenza, because schools don 't really teach it. I agree with vaccines because vaccines can help save lives of children and protect crowds from diseases even though sometimes people don 't like vaccines because of what they contain i still believe everyone should get vaccines.

I understand that sometimes what the vaccine contains might be against a person 's religion but when it comes to a highly contagious disease and people refuse to get vaccinated, I think that very unethical. In the Cultural Perspective on Vaccination website, the website states that the catholic church does not like what the vaccinations contain by stating “The Catholic Church recognizes the value of vaccines and the importance of protecting individual and community health.
