Christopher Columbus day is significant throughout America. Christopher Columbus was someone who found America and was the first person to actually record his path, which allowed others to be able to find it again. Although many think of Columbus day as a fake holiday, they do not focus on the important things that Columbus achieved and accomplished. One reason that we should keep Christopher Columbus day is because he enabled different sea routes that allowed ships to return easily for trading materials. Another reason as to why we should keep Christopher Columbus day is because Columbus kept record of his whereabouts and discovered America with directions in order to allow people to experience America again. Columbus was someone who used his imagination to try and find land that was not even what he thought it was. For example, while Columbus was on America, he thought it was East Asia and used inferences to make him believe that it was East Asia instead of America. This shows that Columbus was also human. It shows that Columbus also made mistakes like others.
