Humans are overall good in my eyes and they were made good by God. People are put on this earth for reason and if they want to be to be evil and bad people then that’s their choice. Everyone has good in them no matter who you are. I believe that humans are good because of Ralph and piggy and when we mosses led the Israelites out of Egypt. William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies shows that humans are good through the characters of Ralph and Piggy.…

Insufficient palliative care can have a lot to do with whether or not someone wants to stay on this earth any longer. If the treatments being provided are not working or the people around these patients such as the nurses and doctors are not treating them right, then this would push them closer to PAD in hopes of ending their lives the way they want to. The biggest flaw in the healthcare system would be the price. “Yet many lower-income residents in Oregon might qualify for assisted-death drugs, but not qualify for basic treatments or even hospice care under medicaid. To say to someone, ‘we’ll pay for you to die, but not pay for you to live,’ it's cruel.”…

The case that animal suffering should be given equal consideration to that of human suffering is a claim Peter Singer makes and that I disagree with, instead arguing that human suffering should be more highly considered to that of animals. Exposition- 310 words Peter Singer in his argument claims that human suffering and animal suffering should be treated in the same manner, putting the lives of other animals in the same categories as those of humans. This argument begins by talking about how humans should be considered in the same group as animals, this is all due by part that we are all members of the animal kingdom, living in the same world, breathing the same air, and occupying the same space. The rights should be universally equal amongst all species.…

Death With Dignity The idea of having a human medically die on their own terms(physician-assisted death) is one of the most debatable topics in the United States. Some people consider it as assisted suicide, or even murder. I consider it a way to help end suffering. For the past six years you have been unable to walk, unable to communicate with family, unable to carry out simple everyday tasks on your own. You live with a constantly growing sense of indignity, misery and helplessness. This was the life of Tony Nicklinson who, after being diagnosed with “locked-in syndrome” was denied the ability to pass away peacefully through euthanasia and was forced, as he described it, to remain in a “living nightmare”. Due to his condition, tony was left in a permanent vegetative state with no hope of recovery. He was denied peaceful passing by the high court judges on two occasions, once in 2010 and then again 2 years later.…

What dignifies whether or not assisted suicide is right or wrong, the morals of humanity, or the laws set by religious community? It can’t be at all kind to let close relatives and even strangers live through the most terrible pain imaginable, while we sit and watch, not truly aware of the pain. Many believe taking another’s life away is the same as murder, when all in all it is what the person really wanted. Some may want to live and fight through the pain for their family’s sake, but other aren’t as strong and want a fast way out, and want to take that route, with or without their family’s consent.…

Why should we determine when a person should die? The death penalty is a capital punishment that is legal in the U.S for federal crimes like murder, treason and espionage. The death penalty existed long before the U.S. was even a country and dates back as far as the code of Hammurabi. The death penalty, however, is only legal in some states. According to the federal government, the death penalty is completely legal, but it should be considered a cruel and unusual punishment and, therefore, a violation of the 8th amendment because it kills innocent people and promotes more death.…
