Nurses and nurse practitioners must teach the public about why vaccines are so important. The public’s understanding of these illness and their risks is the best way to get everyone to vaccinate their children. The first change that needs to be happen is the government must give more money to the Center for Disease Control for research of these vaccinations and for advertising. Advertising can educate the public to show how safe the vaccines are and show how deadly the illnesses are when the vaccine is not given.
2. Second, students who are not vaccinated should not be allowed in public schools because these children are putting other children at risk.
3. Third, it has been proven that people that have not taken their vaccinations are putting a risk on others. There is a huge risk in waiting rooms, especially babies who are not yet old enough to be vaccinated or people that have severe illnesses and are unable to fight infections, therefore many doctors are choosing to refuse to be their doctor. If the risk of not having a doctor became more common, I feel this would encourage people to immunize their children.
4. Last, the government needs to educate the public by television, social media, newspapers and healthcare provider’s instructions
