Your immune system does not go on overload if you take too many vaccines, it successfully fights off the antigens.The risks of having more vaccines is nothing compared to the benefits of it. The risk can be either mild or serious side effects, which is included with every shot. The benefits to getting the vaccination is you can save your life and others, which is the greatest benefit of all. More shots should be required.
Parents may ask themselves, “Why does my kid need all these vaccines?” The answer to that is simple; children need the vaccine to fight infections. If they don’t get it, their immune system won’t be able to fight it off on it’s own. The point of vaccines is to help your child, and others, be able to not get the disease. One of the vaccines I think should be required is the flu shot. Influenza is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes death. According to an article I read awhile ago, it stated that three quarters of the kids who died for the flu last year weren’t vaccinated. About sixty five percent of those deaths could have been prevented. The flu shot being required could've saved those deaths. The annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to reduce your risk of getting sick with seasonal flu and spreading it to others (8).
