The Untied States main reason for starting nuclear energy is because of the air pollution crisis. We have absolutely no control on where the waste from coal goes as a whole. Waste from coal is entered straight into our atmosphere for us to breathe in daily. Waste created from nuclear waste is located in a competely controlled and monitored facility. These facilities are controlled under extremely intensive guidelines and rules to follow when creating the energy and storing the watse product. The waste produced from coal out ways nuclear by tons. The United States was able the dismantle Russian weapons and turn ten percent of Americans electricity into this efficient electricity in comparison to what would have only been enough time to create three percent of Americans electricity out of wind and solar power. Each power plant that is producing nuclear energy can run full on 24/7 and only have to cut off once a year to refuel, meaning this energy will be reliable all the time.
