If the military took out the transgender individuals who are serving, then there would be a loss of soldier who are fighting. With soldiers getting sick and others who have to take a leave, they would be adding a bunch of people who are not allowed to serve because they are transgender. “I think that soldiers are anything but a burden. Gender should not matter because those people who are fighting in order to keep the country safe are putting their lives at risk. “‘There is no reason to force service members who are able to fight, train, and deploy to leave the military — regardless of their gender identity.’” (Crunden).
