Should this Team be Saved?
Be a team leader is an excellent opportunity, but no always is the right path to take. Everyone in our lives wants to be the manager of a company. To be an excellent candidate is the simple step because we can get a promotion working hard, but being a manager is more than a promotion or an increase in our salary. It involves higher responsibilities and challenges. A wrong idea of being a manager is everyone is working for me. It is true without forget that they are doing the “manager” job and those represent it. This means that if the team in charge is doing wrong the manager job is completely wrong too. When we become a leader, we have to take out the idea that we are gaining a promotion. It is better to think that the company efficiency is in our hands. That means that we are the responsible to take the company further. If we do not do our job correctly, the future of the company is our fault. To avoid this we have to be part of the process for our job. We can use extra help as our team to make our job more flexible, but it keeps being our job as leaders. For example, Peter did not notice that Sandy and Angeless were drowned in all the responsibilities in charged. Communication is the master key. I believe that without communication any process is achieved. The lack of communication affected the relationship between Peter, Sandy and Ageless. They could be more efficient if they were ask for help. Peter seems to ignore the job or care about any report of his team. He noticed the problem when it became a problem. He asked for a reunion when everybody the problem. Peter’ ability of leadership could see the problem coming before it hit land. It was not possible due to the fact that he did not manage the reports appropriate. Be part of the team is primordial. A manager is one of the top level of the organization of a team. It is above of other levels, but it keep being part of the team. For example, a professor is the responsible for teach a student the facts of the world II, but what happens when the student doesn’t assist to the lecture? The professor is prepared for the lecture because the absence of the student the professor doesn’t could execute his job correctly. Both parts of the team rely on the other. The successful depends on a team work.
