There are so many aspects to the healthcare field that affect the “Iron Triangle”. It is up to us as healthcare manager to know healthcare in and out so we can implement and decide what direction we need to direct our staff everyday.. We need to understand the impact modern medicine has, why healthcare cost is rising, what major issues we are facing, understanding Medicaid and Medicare and the current state of national health policy. If we were to change one thing it would have to be that there would be a cap on how things are charged so that people were not overcharged for something just because the doctor can. This would help the health care system so much in having a budget to plan for national epidemics.…

As a kid I remember saying I would live to be a hundred, which is statistically easier said than done in America given our poor eating habits. As this video points out life expectancy in America is 78, and only one person out of five-thousand people will live to be a hundred years old, which I found interesting because my grandmother will turn a hundred-next year and is still in fairly good shape. The speaker also discussed cultures with the highest life expectancy rates. Of all three cultures there were some common factors such as plant-based diets, organic foods, remaining active, smaller amounts of meat, and self-control when eating. All of these similarities between these cultures suggest some of the keys to longer life expectancy.…

In "the Average Life Expectancy Could Soon Reach Above 90 Years Old", by Maria Chang, she discusses how America is falling behind other countries on average life expectancy, despite its wealth. It is shown that countries with more money tend to have longer human life expectancies, because of their ability to afford to maintain a healthy environment. So why is the United States, the ninth richest country falling short in these ranks? " Researchers note that among rich countries, the U.S. has the highest maternal and child death rates, homicide rates and is the only high-income country without comprehensive health care". Since our country has many more common causes of death than other high-income countries such as Monaco or Andorra, many people don't live into old age.…

An Apple A Day Keeps The National Health Crisis Away America is the fattest country in the world. We love to eat meat and cook everything in a deep fryer. Our "food" is made out of chemicals produced in a lab, cooked on a conveyer belt, and put in a box. Most of our food won 't go bad for weeks because of all the preservatives we have in them.
