They had nothing to give them the power to overthrow the nobles and clergy, and they were truly fed up with the rules and conditions of being apart of the “third estate.” Even though they made up almost 67% of the french nations population they still had no drive to do something about it until the rise of the enlightenment came to play and gave them new visions such as “liberty”, “equality” and “brotherhood”. Once they proposed the idea of it the first and second estate still payed no mind. They then raided the arms bank and used their own weapons against them to start the french revolution. Since this happened, the third estate made a flag which is now known as the flag of the french, the red and blue that used to be the flag but the white was inserted in between both of them which represented the common people. The real question is what would 've happened if the third estate got their way right away, and that would of changed the way we live
