My opinion about a person assisting a terminally ill person, in suicide is okay. This person is waking up every single day suffering and in pain because of their permanent illness. There isn’t a cure to their illness and the medicine can’t help ease the suffering. This person asks if you could help them by helping them end their life, which is the only way to stop their misery and pain. Some might think well they will eventually die; when they get old, but they will be suffering and in agony every single day of their lives until eventually their time comes up. These people have the right to end their life, but of course with the circumstances I have written and describe above. The terminally ill people should have this right as part of their civil liberties. I’d say yes it’s their body and you should have a choice what you could or could not do to your own body don’t you think, like I have said a few times these people are sick and are in pain every day. You wouldn’t want to see someone you love to be in agony every single day of their lives, you’d want them to be in peace and happy. Do you think it is unconstitutional if states banned doctors from assisting them with the following circumstances I discussed above? I’d say it is unconstitutional that states are banning people the right to have a choice in being assisted in suicide by doctors or someone else. I also understand the concerns of some people that have like the death angel case. The man was killing many elderly people and no one had discovered the truth until they notice a pattern. He was arrested, but like I said there have to be certain circumstances like that the person is really ill, no cure, and etc. Something like this occurred in my family someone we love was connected to all types of machines, but he wasn’t able to do anything. He was just in a bed stuck with all types of tubes and things in his arms and nose. It was sad to watch this person live every day like what was the case of him living. He couldn’t even interact anymore with none of us and he was brain dead. Why would you want to wake up every day to see someone you love and have …show more content…
If the person is terminally ill, there’s no cure, and etc. these people have a right as it states in the ninth amendment. The states’ banning assisted suicide is unconstitutional because the government is depriving these people from their rights which were given to them, but of course you have to have the circumstances describe above. Especially, if the person who was ill is a loved one of yours, you wouldn’t want to see someone you love in misery every day. What do you think about assisted suicide
