Should The European Powers Faced To Be Affected By Military Powers?

After 1871, the relations among the European powers got worse. Countries don’t want to be look down on, they wanted to prove to other countries that they are strong and can’t be defeated easily. Not only because of that, but also since they are fear of neighbouring nations who might suddenly start a fight with them, countries start to make more and more weapons and recruit more people into the armies to make sure that there army, navy and weapons are strong enough, or, strongest that other countries would be scared of them, and that they don’t need to be scared of other countries. To protect themselves, countries used the weapons they developed to compete with others. Military power was a sign of national strength. The stronger a country was, the less you need to fear of. Because of the above reasons, in 1898, germany built a large navy not only to protect its overseas interests, but also to challenge Britain who had the strongest navy power in that period of time. Britain didn’t want to be looked down on, so in 1906, they built a battleship, Dreadnought, in response. From then, the naval race between Germany and Britain started.
