It was necessary for the success of our nation to replace the Articles Of Confederation with the Constitution. Our nation needs something to rule and take power. The Articles Of Confederation lasted for only a couple of year but soon needed to be replaced by something that was stronger and had fewer weaknesses. There were many pros and cons to each document. The Articles of Confederation had no president, no army, and couldn’t collect taxes. While the Constitution included all three branches, had a strong federal government, and was able to collect taxes. The Articles Of Confederation was then replaced by the US Constitution that went into effect in 1789. Which then proved to have better success to our nation with the help of our military,
