For my final project, I would love to write about “The Death Penalty”. My reasoning for this subject is that 31 states have abolished the death penalty since the year 2007. The death penalty is a cruel and unusual punishment and costs way too much then if criminals were to spend life in prison without parole, which also violates the eighth amendment. Crimes rates will always be high with or without the death penalty. So I am interested in getting all the details to what have led up to reasoning with the death
