First, students need teachers because students’ purposes are to be educated properly and understand subjects clearly. However, students test scores cannot prove that they can achieve their purposes. When I was in high school, I did not pay attention in classes much since I knew that, mainly, teachers would not grade me based on class participation. Admittedly, I did not understand my subjects clearly but I got A or B in most subjects since I spent time studying by myself before the test. After I was done with those subjects, I merely recognized what I had learned in the classes. Teachers’ proficient such as conveying accurate content knowledge does not show in students test scores since there are other ways to increase students’ scores. In grade 10, I studied geography with the teacher who never experienced in teaching. When it was time for a final test, she tutored us by emphasizing on the information that would be in the test. She usually said “this is important. It will in the test so please underline this details.” Hence, most of us in the class got either A or B. This exemplification demonstrates that teachers can have an outstanding performance if the criteria is based on students high test scores. Instead of emphasizing on teaching, teachers will emphasize test prep. Therefore, teachers can use the same strategy as my example if their compensation are based on students high test
