Having uniforms is a way of violating a person’s rights. He/she should be allowed to express themselves freely (Browen) . It is the first amendment of our constitution. Everyone is allowed their own way of expressing themselves (“Should students have to wear uniforms?”) . If we force students to wear uniforms it hides the way one is feeling. By wearing regular clothing we can see how another is feeling (Browen) . Uniforms also give teachers/administrators unnecessary authority over a student (Browen) . They feel embarrassed to be seen in their uniforms when they wear uniforms they feel like uniforms don't help them fit in at school, they actually feel more left out. Along with feeling left out, their self-esteem has lowered in some ways. Since uniforms are made for everyone to look the same that isn't always the answer for some students, uniforms make kids feel bad about themselves. Not all uniforms were made for all body types, everyone has a different body type and uniforms don't really help embrace that.
