Waking up in the morning and hearing that blaring alarm barking to start a stressful day is a struggle for most, especially when all one wants to do is stay in the warmth and comfort of a bed. This could be so much easier with school uniforms. All one has to do is wake up, throw on a daily uniform, brush their hair and teeth, and they are out the door. Uniforms are starting to become a necessity that schools are relying on to help their students. Although school uniforms limit self-expression, in fact school uniforms decrease stress, save money, reduce discrimination, and improve test scores.

One simple way to improve grades and test scores would be to simply just introduce uniforms into schools all around the world. In Houston a “study found that elementary school girls' language test scores increased by about three percentile points after uniforms were introduced” (“Should Students Have to Wear School Uniforms?”). Uniforms can greatly improve students grades, thus leading to a more successful and smarter generation to come. In addition to test scores improving, studies have shown that graduation and attendance rates have gone up after the introduction of uniforms, “school districts found that school uniform policies improve rates of attendance, graduation” (“Should Students Have to Wear School Uniforms?”).
