Should Students Have To Swim Test Persuasive Essay

Students should have to pass a swim test before being allowed to graduate from high school. For example, later in life the student will probably have children and will have to teach them how to swim. In other words if the student has children they’ll have to teach them how to swim. Another reason is the student might be near water when a disaster occurs. The student will have to know how to swim in order to save himself. My final claim is there might be a friend or a stranger that can’t swim and are near drowning. In other words if the student took the class and learned how to swim they’ll be able to help save lives.
People who disagree with me would probably say that students shouldn’t have to pass a swim test before graduating high school and moving onto college. Their reasons would argue with mine saying that the student might not have children to teach swimming lessons to. Other claims that may counter mine may say that some disasters may never happen in that area where the student lives. The students will probably need to know how to swim because the summers are getting extremely hot and spring break is also getting hotter. Their views are also wrong because almost every adult is going to have children. The fact that disasters may never happen in that area like Clarksdale are true but when the student decides to move or take a vacation to a place where there is plenty of water he or she may never know what the weather will be like.
