Isn’t lunch the highlight of everybody’s school day? We all know that school can be stressful and tiring, all that knowledge being hammered into your brain along with homework, classwork, and other activities during school such as clubs. As a result of students working hard all day long, they should have a longer time to relax, to get rid of unnecessary stress. This time would ideally be during lunch. I know, for one, that school adds a lot anxiety to my everyday schedule and having a longer time during school to let that anxiety out is, in my opinion, essential to success as a student.…

Should schools have a longer school day?No having a longer school day will make you have more money to pay,not have enough sleep for the next school day,and will not improve test scores. First reason why schools should not have a longer school day is because if you play a sport after school you will be getting home even more late then you usually do with a regular school day,That means if you get home later then you usually do you could maybe not have enough energy for the next school day to learn. That is one reason why schools should not have a longer school day. A second reason why schools should not have a longer school day is electrical and water bill.…

School is hard enough for students as it is, but there are people debating on adding an additional one and a half hours to an already long school day. I personally don’t agree to adding more hours to a school day because it doesn’t give time for after school activities, students have to wake up early and go to bed late, and students end up being over-worked. One reason why I don’t agree with adding more school hours is because if school hours are extended than kids won’t get to be kids. They won’t be able to ride their bikes around the neighborhood or go to the park with friends because they will still be in math class. Also they won’t have time to participate in after school sports.…

Staying at school for an extra hour and an half is insane, we already get up early and they make us stay later, like people have things to do. I don’t agree with this because students get up super early, and after school programs would be pushed back farther into students time to do homework and makes a student's life stressful with trying to stay awake and keeping up with the lesson for the day. Younger kids get up super early in the morning, staying later will cause them to become less cooperative in class. It will cause students to be drained during the day because they do school work and other activities. Homework is a burden for students and making them stay at school for a longer time cuts there time to do homework, which, then also…

Some people may like the idea of longer school days but I believe otherwise. Some people may say that longer school days would cause kids to get better grades because they have more time to work in class, but in reality, longer school day would give kids LESS time to work at places other than school, thus giving them even more bad grades then they had before. I disagree with the idea that longer school days are better than normal school days because students will have less time for themselves, they will have little or no time to commit themselves to after school commitments, and walking home in the dark is dangerous for students.…
