Should students be required to learn a second language? Yes. I think American students should learn a second language because it would be good for them.

One reason why a student should learn a second language is because in the text it stated that people are looking for people to work it they can speak another language. It text it claims that U.S. army forces looking for people for that. It states that “Even the U.S. government and U.S. Armed Forces are constantly looking for speakers of languages relevant to facilitating our economic and foreign policy.”

Another reason why kids should learn another language is because in some jobs Americans don’t know other languages so they have to go to college or more school to study about that
