To pay a collegiate athlete would be the same as having a paid internship it help the person who is trying to learn gain an experience that they would be able to apply to multiple aspects in life. A school with a union would have a lot more to offer to the athlete than a school without one. For example at Florida Atlantic University here is a student union which has a multitude of office to help them with their need plenty of freshmen go their looking for help on where things are located on campus. I personally have been there with my peers on the first day to find where the classes are and this helped me a lot. I’m sure that that the schools without a union that isn’t there for the student to have access to a physical person whose only purpose is to help the student. They gain traits and become more disciplined than they already were even trying to get the scholarship for college. Athletes who reach to a college level of the sport have a usually high drive for the sport itself and to then be paid for doing something they love could help with the moral of the player also. If the players do get paid and motivation increases then grade can be affected also. A higher graduation rate would cause the state to provide more federal funding which could then be invested back into the college to help tides with financial or have more staff to aid the students.
