Students who have to receive loans from their schools must borrow even more money because of their unpaid internships they will be even more in debt. First off, since students have to pay a lot of money from tuition the student cannot waste any more time other than school because it is their main priority and it costs money. Unpaid interns will only make it difficult for students because they are working for free. All the long hours of working on your feet might not be good, but internships do teach you a few things about what they are supposed to do while working. According to Anya Kamenetz essay she said “unpaid internships are not jobs, only simulations.” Most people will agree with this because an internship they will learn about that they would do if they were really in that job so it’s like stimulation the job to see if they can maybe handle it. Unpaid internships are only great for students are is financially well set because they won’t have to worry about paying their bills and they will obviously sacrifice less time than less privileged students. If internships started to buy pay students most of its problems of unpaid internships will be resolved because it will most definitely help students with the lower income because they wouldn’t have to pay as much debt and if they were in an unpaid internship their debts will increase more. Companies should be encouraged and care more about their interns because a happy intern will most likely do a great job because they are doing what they might possibly do in the future and at the same time they will get a great learning experience. John Stossel is incorrect about how some of his interns said it was one of the best learning experience they have ever had because people can just use one good review to back up a statement. John Stossel should have used multiple people that have already interned for him and bring up their opinion. Maybe some of the interns didn’t have a pleasant learning experience while some of the might have awesome learning
