Should Strict Laws Be Illegal

The process for being able to own and obtain a gun should be stricter because it would prevent many firearm related homicides, keep people from illegally obtaining a firearm, and help prevent mass murders. Many mass murders could be prevented by making the process for being able to own and obtain a gun stricter. For example, if Michio Tanaka’s neighbour went through stricter restrictions there would be no possibility for him to get a firearm, which he used to kill Michio Tanaka’s wife. This example proves that if the laws were stricter here, it could save people’s lives. This also shows that whether or not a person goes through strict rules can affect whether a person arrives dead at the hospital or not at all. Another example is that if Woo Bum-Kon had been under stricter laws, he could not have killed fifty-seven people and injure thirty-five people. Admittedly, it is true that a person who legally owns a weapon can be stolen for a illegal cause, however you have to think about how many lives could be saved if there was no gun. If there was strict laws about how to obtain a gun there should be no reason for a criminal to steal it.
