In today’s society going to college is not something everyone can do nor afford. Students with a GPA of 2.5 or above have no problem with getting a chance to get their tuition wavered. The average person pays a total of $9,139 for a four-year college and that is only for an In-state. For everyone else trying to get that 2.5 GPA will drive us into becoming stressed which can affect not only our physical health but mental health as well. One in 8 colleges say that the students are frequently or sometimes stressed in everyday life. Also one in four of the students can get a diagnosable illness. As I mentioned before the average tuition for a in state four year college is $9,139 although to some people that may not sound like much, for others it means having to get student loans to try and help with causes some people having to try and pay it off even after they have graduated that college. But for people who would like to just go to an out-of-state college, Harvard for example the average tuition for that is $22,958. Without a scholarship or the money to afford this people can drop out. Further more why should in state colleges not be free at all? If they were spots that would go to the person that cares and would like to learn is given to those who do not even care and would rather not learn. With people who work hard to get to college. And although that might be true people with a mental illness can hardly comprehend what is going
