Advantage Of High School Sports

Whether you’re sitting in the stands eating greasy pizza watching the quarterback score a touchdown, taking pictures of the basketball team for the newspaper or pinning an opponent in a wrestling match, everyone enjoys high school sports in some way. Most schools have the normal popular sports like football and baseball but why not add more sports, the smaller sports that people like such as tennis, lacrosse, or swimming. Some schools don 't even offer the normal popular sports. Soccer is the fifth popular high school sport and it 's not even in some schools. Being involved with athletics has many benefits such as fitness, improved academics, gaining a successful mindset and learning leadership and time management skills. More sports equal more growth for the students. We need to add new sports and the way we can go about that is talking to the school committee and even county politicians about where we can get the money, and support. …show more content…

Having a successful mindset is something a lot of people don 't know they lack. Someone striving to get all A’s has a successful mindset, but someone who gets good enough grades to pass or someone who doesn 't even care about their grades do not have a successful mindset. By joining sports they can strive to get better, play more, and win. They wouldn 't join the team if they didn 't want to win. It 's not their choice to go to school and do well but it 's their choice to join a sport and have that successful mindset to
